Tsing Yi Road

Tsing Yi Road (Chinese: 青衣路; pinyin: Qīngyī lù; Cantonese Yale: ching1 yi1 lou6) is the longest road on the Tsing Yi Island, Hong Kong. It is one of the earliest roads on the island, built together with Tsing Yi Bridge. It was built to serve the heavy industries along the southern shore of the island.

When construction of the Duplicate Tsing Yi Bridge started, a new section of the road on the eastern part of the island was built to serve the Container Terminal 9. This helped reduce the amount of the heavy vehicle flow in the old section and dissipate noise pollution affecting the residents of Cheung Ching Estate and Mayfair Gardens.
